EOSE is proud to be involved in the Erasmus+ Sport project EmpowHER Volleyball Game Changer (EVGC), coordinated by the European Confederation of Volleyball (CEV), with the ambition to foster gender equality in leadership and decision‑making roles within volleyball.

EVGC launched in January 2025 and brings together National Federations from Albania, Georgia, Germany, Luxembourg, Malta, and Sweden, alongside the EOC EU Office and EOSE working together to:

  • Identify barriers preventing women from taking on leadership and decision-making roles in volleyball.
  • Develop policies to support inclusive governance structures.
  • Provide targeted training and mentorship opportunities.

Hosted by the German Volleyball Federation, the EVGC partners convened in Frankfurt on 17–18 June 2025 for the second meeting of the year to review project progress, with a particular focus on the ongoing online survey distributed to National Federations and Volleyball Clubs.

Partners reviewed the response status, addressed barriers to participation, agreed dissemination and promotion strategies to boost survey uptake, and discussed the analysis methodology to provide a deeper understanding of the current landscape and lay a strong foundation for the next phases of the project.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for partners to exchange concrete solutions and processes on how to communicate and promote EVGC project and its planned outputs effectively.

EOSE was represented by Executive Director MrAurélienFavre, and we are delighted to be part of such an important project not only for volleyball but for the whole sport sector, and we look forward to the next steps of the work programme.
