The Swiss Federal Institute of Sport Magglingen (SFISM) is Switzerland’s only higher education institution of applied sciences exclusively dedicated to sport. As a federal institute, it combines higher education (Bachelor and Master), vocational and continuing education, applied research, development and services in the field of sport.

Closely connected to Swiss sports federations and public partners, SFISM focuses on interdisciplinary, practice‑oriented research in youth, recreational and elite sport. Its activities contribute to athlete development, coach education, sport management, and the promotion of physical activity and health across Switzerland.
