EOSE is a membership organisation and the whole activity of the structure is strongly supported, linked and based on the quality and involvement of the European Network composed of the membership of the organisation.
The membership of the European Observatoire of Sport and Employment (EOSE) was revised during the General Assembly 2011 and is now constituted of 4 different categories of members fully recognised into the activities of the organisation:
- Observatories - National or Regional Observatoires
- NEO Members - National Expert organisations with potential for establishing an Observatoire
- Associate Members - National Experts as individual
- EUO Members - European Organisations carrying out activities on employment, education and training in the sector
Full details and information concerning those 4 categories, criteria, benefits and procedures to apply can be found through the “How to become a member” section of the website.
We could highlight several proven track record of cooperation, collaborations and collective experiences through various projects and activities where the whole membership was activated to develop e.g. research and obtain comparable data (qualitative and quantitative) at national and regional level in the areas of employment and VET in the Sport and Active Leisure sector in Europe. To illustrate that point we can take the example of the VOCASPORT project commissioned by the Sport Unit of the European Commission and lead by EOSE in 2004 or more recently the LLL-Sport project.
