26/04/2012 - VSPORT+ PROJECT - KICKOFF TRAINING SEMINAR - Budapest (Hungary), 12-13 April 2012

Aligned with the realities of the sector, European policies and strategic initiatives, EOSE has recently developed a common Lifelong Learning Strategy for the Sport and Active Leisure sector.
The ultimate objective being to provide a mechanism which links the worlds of education and employment through the development of Occupational Standards and equips the workforce with the right skills through fit for purpose qualifications and training.
The Kickoff Training Seminar for the new VSPORT+ project was held in Budapest on the 12 and 13 April 2012.

18/04/2012 - THE 2012 CALL FOR PROPOSALS IN THE FIELD OF SPORT NOW AVAILABLE

The Commission just launched the 2012 Call for Proposal in the field of Sport (Preparatory Action). This year the call will support transnational projects having the objective to identify suitable networks and good practices in the following areas:
 1) The fight against match-fixing
 2) The promotion of physical activity supporting active ageing
 3) Awareness-raising about effective ways of promoting sport at municipal level
 4) Trans-frontier joint grassroots sport competitions in neighbouring regions and Member States

15/04/2012 - EXPERT GROUP EDUCATION & TRAINING IN SPORT: MINUTES PUBLISHED

The Expert Group “Education and Training in Sport” has two overarching work streams, which are to prepare proposals for European guidelines on dual careers and to initialise a summary on the follow-up to the inclusion of sport related qualifications in National Qualification Frameworks with reference to the European Qualification Framework.

The first meeting took place on 13 January 2012 in Innsbruck (Austria) and the full minutes of the meeting including the details of the work schedule can be found here.

12/04/2012 - EOSE VISITING THE MALDIVES FOR A NATIONAL VISIT - April 2012

EOSE was invited by FIDA, a Finnish Development Cooperation Organisation, and the Maldivian Ministry of Human Resources, Youth and Sports to conduct a National Visit in the Maldives from 01-04 April 2012 to meet with main stakeholders and understand the specificities and realities of the country and the Sport sector.
