21/09/2011 - THE LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMME 2012 CALL FOR PROPOSALS
The European Commission published in August 2011 the general call for proposals for 2012 for participation in the Lifelong Learning Programme. Through the programme the EU enables people of all ages to gain experience through studies, training or learning abroad and supports co-operation between schools, universities and enterprises in different European countries.
10/09/2011 - NEXT MULTI-ANNUAL FINANCIAL FRAMEWORK 2014-2020
The European Commission presented on 29 June 2011 its proposal for the next Multi-annual Financial Framework 2014-2020. This proposal “A budget for Europe 2020” outlines the creation of an integrated programme of €15.2 billion entitled “Education Europe” for education, training and youth, with a clear focus on developing skills and mobility.
05/08/2011 - MAIN PRIORITIES OF THE POLISH PRESIDENCY OF THE COUNCIL OF EU
A new Trio of Presidencies of the Council of the European Union with responsibility for the functioning of the Council of the Union European has begun with Poland. Poland, who has taken over the reigns from Hungary, is holding the presidency from July to December 2011 and will be followed by Denmark (January – June 2012) and then Cyprus (July – December 2012). The main objective of the Polish Presidency shall be that of leading the European Union towards faster economic growth, and an enhanced political community.
