20/12/2009 - NEW EUROPEAN PROJECT SELECTED: "ALL FOR SPORT FOR ALL - Perspectives of Sport for People with a Disability in Europe"
Among the 18 projects selected under the 2009 call for proposals of the Preparatory Action in the field of sport we are really pleased to inform you that the European Observatoire of Sport and Employment (EOSE) together with the European Paralympics Committee (EPC) developed a successful application called All for Sport for All: Perspectives of Sport for People with a Disability in Europe”.
19/12/2009 - STUDY ON SPORT AGENTS IN THE EU - Results now available
As a follow-up to the Action 41 in the "Pierre de Coubertin" Action Plan annexed to the White Paper on Sport, the public contract no. DG EAC/13/08 “Study on Sports Agents in the European Union” was awarded by the Commission to provide a clear overview of the activities of players' agents in the EU and an evaluation of whether action at EU level is necessary.

The Life Long Learning Programme (LLP) supports learning opportunities from childhood to old age in every single life situation. It has a budget of € 7 Billions for the period 2007-2013. The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) is responsible for the implementation of the centralised Actions of the Lifelong learning Programme.
 
02/12/2009 - THE LISBON TREATY ENTERED INTO FORCE ON 01 DECEMBER 2009
The Treaty of Lisbon entered into force on 1st December 2009. It provides the EU with modern institutions and optimised working methods to tackle both efficiently and effectively today’s challenges in world. In a rapidly changing world, Europeans look to the EU to address issues such as globalisation, climatic and demographic changes, security and energy. The Treaty of Lisbon reinforces democracy in the EU and its capacity to promote the interests of its citizens on a day-to-day basis.
