22/06/2009 - EOSE STAFF DEVELOPMENT
Moving forward in the development, implementation and sustainability of its strategic plan, the EOSE Board is delighted to announce the appointment of a new staff member and a new position appointed: Mr Matthias Guett is now in position of Research Manager for EOSE and Mr Aurélien Favre has been appointed unanimously by the Executive Board to the post of Executive Director of EOSE.
20/06/2009 - EU PRESIDENCY WAS SYMBOLICALLY HANDED OVER FROM CZECH REPUBLIC TO SWEDEN
On the occasion of one of the final cultural events of the Czech EU Presidency, the United Islands Festival, the Czech Republic was symbolically handing over the Presidency of the EU Council to Sweden by handing over a keg of beer from boat to boat on the Vltava river on 20 June 2009. Then, on 01 July 2009, Sweden will officially take over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union for six months.

EOSE Members from Ireland, Kilian Fisher (ILAM) and Catherine Carty (ITT Tralee), would like to highlight a 2 years Leonardo Da Vinci project entitled EIPET (European Inclusive Physical Education Training) that aimed producing a model, module and resource pack for the teaching of inclusive physical education in teacher training Institutions.

On 15 May 2009, an open call for proposals to implement the 2009 Preparatory Action in the field of Sport (EAC/21/2009) was published in the Official Journal of the European Union. This 2009 call for proposals serves to implement the 2009 Preparatory Action in the field of sport in accordance with Commission Decision C(2009)1685 of 16 March 2009.
