31/05/2010 - PREPARATORY ACTION IN THE FIELD OF SPORT 2010
On 22 May 2010, a call for proposals to implement the 2010 Preparatory Action in the field of sport (EAC/22/2010) was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

The main objective of the Preparatory actions in the field of sport is to prepare future EU actions in this field, on the basis of priorities set in the White Paper on Sport. This call for proposals will support transnational projects proposed by public bodies or civil society organisations in order to identify and test suitable networks and good practices in the field of sport.
30/05/2010 - EU SPORT FORUM 2010 - REPORT NOW AVAILABLE
The second EU Sport Forum since the adoption of the EU White Paper on Sport took place in Madrid on 19 and 20 April 2010. The Commission's report from the Forum is now available and available in clicking here.

As foreseen in the 2007 White Paper on Sport, the EU Sport Forum is a key annual event organised by the European Commission in the framework of the structured dialogue on sport at EU level. This year's event provided valuable input for the Commission's consultations with stakeholders on the implementation of the sport provisions of the Lisbon Treaty, which entered into force in December 2009.

Europe must focus more on skills than ever before. Skills to adapt and to shape the jobs of tomorrow are essential for Europe’s citizens and businesses to speed up economic recovery.

CEDEFOP’S new skill demand and supply forecast up to 2020 sets the scene for anticipating future trends. The aim of this report is to provide policy-makers, employers, skills providers, employment services and individual learners with better information to make more informed decisions.
17/05/2010 - ALL FOR SPORT FOR ALL PROJECT: Perspectives of Sport for People with a Disability in Europe
From 28th till 30th of April 2010 the Kick-off meeting of the ALL FOR SPORT FOR ALL Project was organised at the headquarters of the European Paralympic Committee (EPC) in Vienna, Austria.

During three intense days of working, the Project Management Group together with all Partners (15 organisations from 12 EU countries), have agreed on the overall principles, strategies and working methodologies for the project.
