26/10/2009 - EU RESTRUCTORING FORUM: SECTORS' NEW SKILLS FOR NEW JOBS
On behalf of the European Commission, the European Parliament, the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions, a "Restructuring Forum: Sectors' New Skills for New Jobs" will take place in Brussels on 07th December 2009.

30/09/2009 - ANNOUNCEMENT - LAUNCHING CONFERENCE OF ECVET AND EQARF - Brussels, 17/18 November 2009
The European Commission organises, in partnership with Cedefop, the launching conference of two new European tools: the European Quality Assurance Reference Framework (EQARF) and the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET). The conference will take place in Brussels on 17 and 18 November 2009.
20/09/2009 - EU WORKING GROUP ON EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN SPORT
On 01st July 2009, the first meeting of the EU Working Group "Education and Training in Sport" took place in Brussels. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Michal Krejza, Head of the EC Sport Unit, and gathered representatives from Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Finland, France, Hungary, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, the United Kingdom and the European Commission (DG EAC). Together with the EOC EU Office, the European Observatoire of Sport and Employment (EOSE) participated as observer of the meeting.

19/09/2009 - EU ONLINE SURVEY TOWARDS THE MAPPING OF SPORTS VOLUNTEERING
Building on the Aarhus Declaration on Voluntary Work in Sport that was agreed by the EU-15 sports ministers in November 2003 and is confirming the importance and necessity ensuring that the role of voluntary work in sport must be maintained, now the European Commission, Directorate General for Education and Culture (DG EAC), and the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), have recently launched a study on volunteering in the EU.
