09/04/2009 - INFORMAL MEETING OF DIRECTORS GENERAL FOR SPORT
The Informal Meeting of Directors General for Sport will be organised by the Czech Republic Presidency on 28th and 29th of April 2009 in Prague. During the 2 days, the results of the French Presidency and the European developments regarding sport will be presented, and several working sessions will be organised on specific issues such as “Sport and Health”, “Fight against doping”, “Economic and Sport”, “Non profit Sport”, “Volunteering” and “Education, Training and Qualification”.
08/04/2009 - OPEN CALL FOR TENDER MARKT/2009/04/E: STUDY ON INTERNAL MARKET BARRIERS TO SPORT FUNDING
Action 37 in the Pierre de Coubertin Action Plan annexed to the White Paper on Sport states that "As a contribution to the reflection on the financing of sport, the Commission will carry out an independent study on the financing of grassroots sport and sport for all in the Member States from both public and private sources, and on the impact of ongoing changes in that area".
22/02/2009 - STUDY ON SPORT AGENTS IN THE EUROPEAN UNION

The public contract no. DG EAC/13/08 “Study on Sports Agents in the European Union” has been awarded to a consortium composed of a leader KEA European Affairs and 2 partners which are the “Centre de Droit et d’Economie du Sport “ CDES and the “European Observatoire of Sport and Employment” EOSE. 

09/02/2009 - EU STAKEHOLDERS FORUM ON COOPERATION IN EDUCATION AND TRAINING
The second European Stakeholders' Forum on EU co-operation in education and training was organised in Brussels on 9 February 2009 and gathered around 80 representatives from European stakeholder organisations and the social partners. The Sport and Active Leisure sector in Europe was represented by EOSE and EHFA which attended the event.
