On 22 May 2010, a call for proposals to implement the 2010 Preparatory Action in the field of sport (EAC/22/2010) was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
The main objective of the Preparatory actions in the field of sport is to prepare future EU actions in this field, on the basis of priorities set in the White Paper on Sport.
This call for proposals will support transnational projects proposed by public bodies or civil society organisations in order to identify and test suitable networks and good practices in the field of sport, in the following areas:
- Fight against doping
- Promoting social inclusion in and through sport
- Promoting volunteering in sport
The budget available for this call for proposals is EUR 2 500 000. EU co-financing will be provided to a maximum of 80% of the total eligible costs.
Projects must start between 1 December 2010 and 31 March 2011 and end no later than 30 June 2012. The deadline for submission of applications to the European Commission is 31 August 2010.
