The new Life Long Learning Programme (LLP) supports learning opportunities from childhood to old age in every single life situation. It has a budget of € 7000 millions for the period 2007-2013, and is the successor to the current Socrates, Leonardo da Vinci and eLearning programmes.
Funding opportunities for 2009 are composed of:
- 4 sectoral sub-programmes - Comenius (for schools), Erasmus (for higher education), Leonardo da Vinci (for vocational education and training) and Grundtvig (for adult education) Deadline for submission 27/02/2009
- 4 transversal programmes (see details here) that complement the four sub-programmes in order to ensure that they achieve the best results. Four key activities focus on policy co-operation, languages, information and communication technologies, effective dissemination and exploitation of project results. - and the Jean Monnet programme (see details here) that stimulates teaching, reflection and debate on the European integration process at higher education institutions worldwide.
