10/12/2009 - THE LIFE LONG LEARNING PROGRAMME: Funding Opportunities 2010
The Life Long Learning Programme (LLP) supports learning opportunities from childhood to old age in every single life situation. It has a budget of € 7 Billions for the period 2007-2013. The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) is responsible for the implementation of the centralised Actions of the Lifelong learning Programme.
 
Funding opportunities though LLP for 2010 are composed of:
 
- 4 sectoral sub-programmes which focus on different stages of education and training:
Deadline for submission is 26/02/2010.
 
- 4 transversal programmes that aim to complement the sectorial sub-programmes and to ensure that they achieve the best results possible. They aim to promote European cooperation in fields covering two or more of the sub-programmes. In addition, they seek to promote quality and transparency of Member States' education and training systems.
 
The four key activities focus on:
Deadline for submission is 31/03/2010.
 
- The Jean Monnet programme also falls under the LLP umbrella, completing the sectorial and transversal programmes. The Jean Monnet programme stimulates teaching, reflection and debate on the European integration process at higher education institutions.
