The conference is going to be organised in Dublin, Ireland on October 23rd 2009 on the topic of European Inclusive Physical Education Training.
The module & resource pack to be launched includes access to a full online learning package, a DVD or USB key containing all the information you would need to get the module up and running in your institution or to key you up to date with the latest developments in inclusive PE.
The conference represents the conclusion of a 2 year project aimed at refining a model, module and resource pack for the delivery of Inclusive Physical Education in Teacher Training and Inservice education. The model, module, functional map, knowledge competence and skills framework and accompanying resource pack will all be given to conference delegates at the event. There is no charge for attendance at the event as it is supported by the European Commission under the Leonardo da Vinci Lifelong Learning Programme.
Effective integration of people with disabilities in mainstream education requires knowledge, skills and competencies that should be developed through undergraduate, post-graduate or in-service education. This conference and the associated resources aims to provide participants with a best practise resource representing the foundations for commencement of delivery of a dedicated module for inclusion in current training programme to enable to equip your students with the necessary information.
The module, model and resource pack are all based on the highly successful programme developed in the Institute of Technology Tralee, refined for a broader European audience through the input of the partners in the 2 year Leonardo da Vince Lifelong Learning project.
